Concussions

Concussion is the most common traumatic brain injury. Common causes are sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, bike accidents and falls (especially in elderly). Concussions are graded and severity is based on the grade level. Headache is the most common post concussive symptom. Others include, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, balance disturbances, loss of coordination, visual changes, light sensitivity, cognitive and focus issues. A functional neurology evaluation is best to assess the degree of concussion and best plan of care. Dr. DiDiano has extensive post graduate training in concussion. He is currently extending his expertise by continuing his post graduate studies at The Carrick Institute.
